Enjoy Ben Ten Island from a Boat!

Bentenjima Enjoy Ben Ten Island from a Boat!
While you can't access Ben Ten Island directly, you can enjoy it from a boat. Why not board the "Heisei Iroha Maru," a ferry that departs from Tomonoura's municipal ferry terminal every 20 minutes bound for Sensui Island? It's recommended for those who want to get close to the island, as the ferry passes right next to it on the way to Sensui Island. The ferry ride takes about 5 minutes, and you can also visit Sensui Island's famous power spot, Goshiki-iwa. The fare is 240 yen for adults and 120 yen for children, round trip. It's recommended for those who want to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the view of Ben Ten Island from the sea, as well as visit Sensui Island.
Point 2

View the Vermilion Temple from Taishoro Lookout!

Bentenjima View the Vermilion Temple from Taishoro Lookout!
From Taishoro Lookout, famous for its stunning views of Tomonoura Bay, you can enjoy the vermilion temple on Benten Island at the same eye level. The temple can be seen directly in front of the temple's reception room, which is built on a small hill, making it the best spot for those who want to take beautiful photos or enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace. The admission fee for Taishoro Lookout is 200 yen for adults, 150 yen for junior high school students, and 100 yen for elementary school students. The opening hours are from 9:00 to 17:00 on weekdays and from 8:00 to 17:00 on weekends and holidays. It is recommended for those who want to take a leisurely trip while enjoying the breathtaking views in a quiet and historic temple.
Point 3

Enjoy a Close-up View of Benten Island while SUPing

Bentenjima Enjoy a Close-up View of Benten Island while SUPing
At Tomonoura Bay, you can enjoy SUP (stand-up paddleboarding) on the ocean while also getting a close-up view of Benten Island! The instructor will teach you carefully, so even beginners and children can participate with peace of mind. The experience takes 2-3 hours, and the cost is 5,000 yen per person for both adults and children. Reservations must be made at least three days in advance. All the necessary equipment for SUP is provided, but please bring clothes and a towel that you don't mind getting wet. After the activity, you can use a nearby simple shower, but there is also a hot spring in Tomonoura where you can take a day trip bath and return home feeling refreshed. This is recommended for those who want to have an active trip while enjoying both SUP and the scenery!
Point 4

Enjoy Fireworks and Benten Island in Early Summer Seto Inland Sea!

Bentenjima Enjoy Fireworks and Benten Island in Early Summer Seto Inland Sea!
Every year on the last Saturday of May, the Fukuyama Tomonoura Benten Island Fireworks Festival is held, with about 2,000 fireworks launched from Benten Island. It's also enjoyable to stroll through the harbor town at dusk and check out the food stalls lined up along the coast while waiting for the fireworks. However, due to the expected heavy traffic, it's not recommended to drive to the venue on the day of the festival. Taking a bus or riding a shuttle bus from the parking lot of a nearby theme park called "Miroku no Sato," which is open on that day, is a better option. This is a recommended event for those who want to enjoy the fireworks along with the beautiful scenery of the island!

For those who want to enjoy the scenery of Benten Island in a luxurious space, we recommend the Migiwatei Ochikochi inn, which offers ocean view rooms. The inn is located right in front of Benten Island, and each room offers a view of the peaceful Seto Inland Sea with Benten Island and Sensui Island floating in the distance. What's more, all rooms come with a 24-hour hot spring, allowing you to soak in the hot springs while enjoying the breathtaking view of the sea in front of you! This is the perfect space for those who want to gaze at Benten Island in a special way and for those who want to experience a luxurious trip out of the ordinary!
