将来三陸北縦貫道路の一部となる岩泉道路に架けられた大橋。すぐ隣に旧道の国道45号の橋も並行している。時間に余裕があるなら旧道を通って橋の上から新道と深い谷底を覗いてみるのも一興か。旧道を通る車はほぼないので写真などを取っていても迷惑になる事もないだろう。 岩泉道路は自動車専用道路な為、歩行者、自転車、原付が通行できるよう旧道である国道45号の方も当面は廃止とはならず通行できるものと思われる。
