明智光秀の三女「玉」(のちのガラシャ)の輿入れの城との碑が入口の橋の所にありました。細川忠興とガラシャの悲運の物語は有名で、ガラシャと忠興の像もあります。公園内には今はお城の形の管理棟があり、その2階には細川家の資料が展示されていて、ボランティアのガイドの方がとても丁寧に説明してくれました。公園内はとても整備がされていてコンパクトですが綺麗で見どころも多い公園です。ちなみに、周りに飲食店はないですが、コンビニはあります。
