Accessible by Car in about 10 Minutes from Tanabe Nishi IC!
To access Daigomado Kannonji Temple by public transportation, it's a 30-minute walk from Kintetsu Misakikoen Station or you can take a Nara Kotsu bus bound for Mizutori and get off at Fugenji, which is a 3-minute walk away. If you're driving, you can access the temple in about 10 minutes from Tanabe Nishi IC on the Keinawa Expressway. Daigomado Kannonji Temple, where you can feel the beauty of nature and history, will bring healing and peace of mind to many people.

2023.11.25愛犬とライトアップ2023に伺いました。 紅葉もめちゃめちゃ綺麗に色付いてて、和傘のライトアップもお寺さんとマッチして圧巻の見応えでした。 近くに臨時駐車場もあり、無料で利用出来るだけでなく、警備員さんも居られてありがたかったです。 また来年も伺いたいです。

大御堂観音寺、京都府京田辺市普賢寺下大門。 別称=普賢寺。本尊=十一面観音立像、奈良時代、国宝7体の一。天武天皇勅願~義淵僧正が創建。永享9年(1437)、火災でほとんど焼失、大御堂のみ再建。地方最古の寺。お経の絵=絵心経。 木津川沿いの郊外、山麓に見える。静かな田園風景に、大御堂が浮かぶ。建物は、瓦葺き、入母屋造、六間、平入。意匠は多くない。わずかに組物が見える。正面は引き戸が並ぶ。

国宝の十一面観音菩薩立像を拝むために訪問しました。優しいお顔で素敵でした。入口でご住職のお母さまとお話したあと、本堂でご住職の説明を聞きました。大河ドラマ「どうする家康」で話題となる伊賀越えの石碑があり、重要な交通の要所でもあったことがわかります。
