京都駅から京都タワーのある方向に進み続けるとすぐの東本願寺。徒歩でもいけます。 広大な敷地の中に静寂があり、荘厳。 朝7時からのおつとめは、どなたでも参拝可能。本堂に続いて、御影堂で行われます。西本願寺よりこじんまりと行われていました。

2025年3月13日、宗派のため出張の際行きました。京都駅から近いのがいいです。 20年ぶりくらいに行きました。当時は改修を していて足場が組まれていたので、今回大きく立派な建物がみることができて感動しました。靴を脱いで中にも入りお参りできました。

2024.1.3初訪問 喪中で神社に行けないのと真宗大谷派ですので 東本願寺へお参りに伺いました。 次男が東京に帰る際に京都駅まで送るつもりだったのですが、駅から近いのでちょうど良かったです。 また敷地内の駐車場は無料も最高でした。 大きく立派な建物にびっくり! ちゃんとお参りして感謝をお伝えしました。 色々なお土産も売っており、お線香をお土産に購入しました。
