Hara Castle Ruins, the stage of the Shimabara-Amakusa Rebellion
This is the stage of the Shimabara Rebellion (Shimabara no Ran), also known as the Shimabara-Amakusa Rebellion, which occurred about 400 years ago. It was the site of the main battlefield of the Shimabara-Amakusa Rebellion, which became the trigger for the Kirishitan to be forced to "hide" and search for ways to continue their faith independently. Why not visit that place in your textbook!
