新発田藩主のお屋敷に作られた大名庭園です。 今年は気候のせいもあり色づきも遅いためあまり期待していなかったのですが、私の中で五本の指に入るほど鮮やかな発色で感動しました。 近江八景を取り入れているのもあって設えも見事で堪能しました。ガイドさん手作りの案内パンフもわかりやすくてよかった。

🏣新潟県新発田市大栄町7-9-32 🅿️🚗…有りました 🚃…新発田駅から徒歩7分程 ※ 入園時間 9時~17時(11月~2月16時30分) 入園料 700円~250円 ※ 庭園は国指定の名勝 園内には 国指定の足軽長屋や市指定の武家屋敷.黒田家等も有ります。 ※ 江戸時代に新発田藩に造られた、近江八景を取り入れた回遊式庭園で中央には草書体で「水」の字をかたどった池が配されており、池の周囲には五つのお茶室が点在している。 2003年に「旧新発田藩下屋敷(清水御殿)庭園及び五十公野御茶屋庭園」の名称で国の名勝指定を受ける。 ※ 新発田藩三代目藩主の溝口宣直の時代に屋敷が造営され、4代目藩主の重雄の時代に庭園の造営が行われた。 ※ 四季折々の顔を見せてくれる庭園や 1847年の文字が残された茅葺き屋根の棟割り長屋、以前は4棟の長屋が並んで居たそうです(全国的にも例を見ない遺構(建造物)だそうです) 武家屋敷黒田精家や棟割長屋や庭園のお茶室等々見処満載の清水園でした。

庭園が好きで三大名園から小さな庭園までよく行くんですが、ここは広くはありませんが非常に美しいですね。よく手が入っていて荒れたところはありません。 また、中にこめ倉ココロというレストランがあってそこに行くのなら庭園の入場料が割引になります。 麩のカツ丼等、地のメニューもあるので食事場所に迷っていたらここで食べるのも良いと思います。
