Iwami Tatamigaura is a scenic spot located at the tip of a hill with an elevation of about 50 meters that juts out into the coastline. Tatamigaura is characterized by approximately 25 steep cliffs called "kaishoku" that have been eroded by waves, and about 49,000 strange rocks. It was named after the fact that it looks like tatami mats have been laid out. It is the only spot in the prefecture selected for the "Kaori Scenic 100 Selection" by the Ministry of the Environment and is also designated as a natural monument of the country. The terrain was formed by the uplift of the seabed, and there are strange rocks, kaishoku cliffs, and caves with the sea as a backdrop. The strata from about 16 million years ago contain many fossils such as whale bones and shells. When visiting the Arifuku Onsen, why not take a tour and search for and observe fossils such as shells and whale bones?

In addition, there are plenty of activities such as forest bathing, hiking, sports facilities, and experiential facilities in the surrounding area, making it a popular hot spring resort. There are many ryokans and lodging facilities in Arifuku Onsen. 入浴料400円でした。洗い場はシャワー3カ所で少なかったです。浴槽は大人7人はどうかな?位の広さですが趣きがあって好きでした。建物も町並みに合った趣きがあって良かったです。駐車場が何か所かあるので便利です。

600円で三つの公衆浴場を回れるチケットがあります。御前湯→無人のお湯→もう一つのやつという順番で入りました。 長湯するならぬるめの無人のお湯がおすすめです。ゆっくりできました。 町はちょろちょろ新しい宿や、レストランもあり新しい動きがあるように感じました。 こういった昔ながらの温泉が残りつつ、新しい人たちが新たな息吹を吹き込んで存続していくことを心から望みます。

熱いですよ!とはじめに伺いましたが、ちょうどよかったです。湯船も深めでとってもいい温泉でした。脱衣所も広く、二階の休憩室?は昔の有福温泉の写真展示がギャラリー風でよかったです。有福温泉に宿泊でいくと週末は集会所で圧巻の神楽がみれます。本当にオススメです
