桜の名所として有名な一見普通の公園だけど、ゆっくり散策してみると東郷平八郎が書いた文字による忠魂碑があり、舞鶴海軍工廠の空襲による学徒犠牲者の慰霊碑があったり、さらに中心には舞鶴海軍工廠の殉職者慰霊碑があったり。さらに奥には海軍墓地があって、海軍軍人の墓や艦船・部隊ごとの鎮魂碑もあり、この辺りが軍港舞鶴の慰霊の場所であることがわかる。

舞鶴市中舞鶴の公園 春にはサクラが最高つづいてツツジもいいですよ!! 昔は土俵があり子供相撲大会やノド自慢大会があって賑わいました、また後に元帥海軍大将になった東郷平八郎の石碑があったりします。展望台があってそんなに高くないのですが旧舞鶴軍港(現在自衛艦港)が見えたりする護衛艦が入港したりしています、その先には赤レンガ倉庫群が見えたりします少しだけどね是非訪れて下さい。

今日は、最高のお天気でした。 桜が満開。 とても癒されました。 毎年、アロハ桜のイベントをしていますが、2年続けて中止になりました。来年は、出来るように願います。
