History

The History of Katayamazu Onsen
The history of Katayamazu Onsen dates back to the Edo period. In 1653, Maeda Toshiaki, the second lord of Daiseiji Domain, discovered a hot spring at the bottom of Lake Shibayama. However, securing the hot spring source was difficult. In 1876, a large-scale land reclamation project created an artificial island, and in 1877, the first hot spring inn was opened. Since then, Katayamazu Onsen has flourished. Many people still visit today to experience its history and the charm of the hot springs. naked企画の際にお邪魔しました。 近くに住んでいて総湯にしか行ったことがなかったのですが、ノスタルジーが凝縮されて た温泉街でした。 古い温泉街のいいところを凝縮して逆手にとっている素晴らしい事例でした。 今度は旅館にも泊まりたいです。
