平日の午後2時過ぎに行きました。 津山観光センター、鶴山公園(津山城跡)の一画にある動物(剥製)メインの博物館でしたが、色んなジャンルの展示が各階(1F~3F)ごとにされています。 世界の地域ごとに分けられており、トラ🐯ライオン🦁シロクマ🐻‍❄️など動物園とは違った、間近で見られる楽しさがあります♫ また、化石、鉱石の展示、人体模型、昆虫の標本🪲もあり好きな方には興味ある展示となっています。 ファミリー、カップル、お一人で行かれても楽しめる博物館なので、津山に来られたら立ち寄っていただきたい観光スポットです♪ 春は、鶴山公園がさくら🌸の名所となっているので、混雑、渋滞が予想されます。

土曜の午後一に妻と息子4歳と訪問しました。隣接する無料の観光センター駐車場を利用。狭いので満車だと市営駐車場ですね。1階〜3階まで剥製や標本の展示点数が多くて見応えありました。集めて開設した熱意に感服です。昭和からの年季が入った雰囲気で、初めこそ怖がっていた息子も、最後は帰りたがらない始末。翌日になっても今日も行く?とせがまれました。いつもの動物園とは違う学びがあると思います。館内エレベーターはありません。1階奥に洗面所。清掃はされていますが寒いので、観光センターの洗面所が良いです。所々に家庭用サイズのエアコンが動いていますが、隅々までは行き渡らないので、季節に応じた服装対策などを。 余談ですが観光センターのソフトクリーム400円が美味しいかったですね。

平日の夕方1人で行きましたが、貸切でした。 博物館が好きで、全国や海外もちょこちょこ回っていますが、こんなにたくさんの剥製が展示されているのは、なかなかないと思います。 国立科学博物館に展示されている剥製よりも多い気がしました。 それぞれの剥製に説明がきちんと付いていて、整体や特徴が分かりやすかったです。また、剥製の展示方法も、何体も重なるように展示されておらず、横並びに展示されているので観察しやすいです。 人体に関する展示や、鉱石やアンモナイト等もあります。 津山に訪れた際には、お勧めしたい場所です。
