The planetarium on the 23rd floor of the Science Museum is located 104.25m above ground and has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the "highest planetarium in the world." "Space" is a popular theme not only for adults but also for children. You can experience the mystery of the universe at the planetarium, which is closest to the sky in the world. The 23rd floor Space Theater is equipped with a high-performance planetarium projector called "Super Helios," of which there are only five in Japan. Using this state-of-the-art projector, you can see various stars that expand in space. The number of stars expressed in the Space Theater is about 650,000, including the Milky Way. It expresses a wide variety of celestial bodies, such as the starry sky seen in the city and the starry sky seen in space. It's also a great point that you can enjoy different programs depending on the season!

The Science Museum offers a variety of exhibits where you can experience "space" in a playful way. Among them, the "Triple Spin" is very popular, where you can experience the training of an astronaut. Using the same equipment as that used by NASA, you spin in all directions. In addition, there are exhibits such as "Kepler Motion" where you can learn about the movement of planets in the solar system and objects being pulled into black holes, a model of the Hubble Space Telescope used for observing space, a "plasma ball" where high voltage electricity flows, and real meteorites lined up that space enthusiasts will love.
