「みだがはら」と読みます。 標高 1930m、ラムサール条約に登録された、3000個もの小さな池や水たまりが点在する大湿原です。 木道が整備されており、歩きやすく素晴らしい景観なので、時間をかけてゆっくりと楽しみたい場所です。 1日目は、雲ひとつ無い青空をバックに、大日連山の稜線がくっきりと凛々しいです。 翌朝は雨上がりのために、山々が雲に覆われた幻想的な風景を目にすることができました。

すでにこの時点で標高2000mに近い…空気も澄んでいてとても快適。ここは、美女平から室堂に直接行く人がほとんどなので降りる人も多くはないです。40分のコースや20分ぐらいのコースなどがありますが、バスの時間はしっかりと確認しておきましょう。乗り継ぎでバスを使う場合、ここに着いてすぐ、先に次のバスの予約を取らなければなりません。また、次のバスが来る10分前にはバス停に戻ってきてくださいと言われます。

7月中旬に訪問しました。多くの高山植物が咲いていました。木道の上を散策しましたが、滑り止めが施されており、足をしっかり上げて歩かないと、靴底が滑り止めにひっかかり、転んでしまうので気をつけてください。アップダウンは緩やかです。
