結構急な階段を10分くらい登ると小さな洞穴があり、中に入ると独特な壁画が壁一面に描かれています。寒い時期に行くと洞穴の中は暖かく感じました。 距離はそんなにないのですが、なにしろ階段が急なので運動不足の人はきついかもしれません。途中に座れる場所があるので休憩しつつ登ってみましょう。

無料駐車場があります。急な山道で手すりがない場所もあるので、足元ご注意です。洞穴の入り口は狭く中が真っ暗で入るのを諦めかけたのですが、照明スイッチを発見し、灯りをつけたら階段と奥行きが見えるようになりました。中は意外と広く、暖かく湿度が高かったです。岩肌からは雫がポタポタ垂れ落ちる箇所もありました。壁画は賛否あるようですが、私は場所の雰囲気に合っていてとても好きでした。

鹿児島空港から、車で20分弱。時間が余ったので寄りました。急な階段を登ると小さな洞窟に壁画があり神秘的な世界が。滑るので靴に注意してください。
