This botanical garden recreates the tropical environment of Southeast Asia. The greenhouse and cold room inside the facility represent different vegetation zones, allowing visitors to enjoy a variety of plants. In addition, there is a mini aquarium underground where you can also observe marine, brackish, and freshwater organisms.

The Itabashi Tropical Plant Dome is a botanical garden that recreates the tropical rainforest of Southeast Asia, exhibiting approximately 700 species of plants. In addition, large freshwater fish that inhabit South America and the tropical rainforest are also on display, making for a spectacular sight. Admission is reasonable, with adults at 410 yen and elementary and junior high school students at 80 yen, and during the Golden Week period, admission is free for elementary and junior high school students. No advance reservation is required, but there may be entry restrictions or time limits in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19. It's a recommended spot for those who want to experience the tropical rainforest of Southeast Asia.

7-minute Walk from the Nearest Station
The Itabashi Tropical Garden, a botanical garden located in the Itabashi area where parks and various commercial facilities are scattered, is a 7-minute walk from the east exit of Toei Mita Line's Takashimadaira Station. If taking the bus, you can reach the garden with a 1-minute walk from the Kokusai Kogyo Bus "Takashima First Junior High School" stop. In addition, there is a free shuttle bus from Toei Mita Line's Tokiwadai Station and Nishidai Station, so if you want to go to the garden without walking from the station, please use it.

寒い日に行く植物園は格別なものと思ってます。若い頃は冬休みを利用し、年1で南国に行ってましたが、今はあの着いた瞬間の湿気の強さや独特の南国の匂いを植物園で味わっている次第。 ここの植物園はコスパも良く楽しめます。アクアリウムも大水槽まではいかなくても、多種多様な魚が見れます。植物園も規模は少し小さめかも知れないが、飽きさせない作りに思えます。南国にありそうな小屋もいい感じですね。 10年程前にも来てますが、エイが巨大化してて驚きました。またエイが亀の下に伏せたのには笑った。亀も慣れてる感ありで、軽く迷惑な顔でした。また年数開けて訪問したい。

祝日に訪問しました。他の方も書いていますが、この内容で260円で入場出来るのは本当にすごいと思います。子どもと回っても疲れない程よい規模です。 ミニ水族館ではクマノミなどお馴染みの熱帯魚に加え、珍しい生き物もいて子どもは喜んでいました。特に世界最大の淡水エイがすごかったです。植物ゾーンも癒され、暖かくて快適でした。 駐車場は隣接のプールにありますが、満車だったのでコインパーキングを利用しました。 館内はさほど混雑はしていませんでしたが、レストランは開店早々満席になっていました。

中は、植物園と水槽のエリアに分かれてます。 植物園部分は、中規模ながら、多種多様な植物があり、子ども向けの丁寧な解説札が多く、楽しめました。 水族館部分は、子供向けだろうと あまり期待していなかったのですが、なかなかどうして 淡水最大のエイ、首の長い亀など珍しい生き物、美しい熱帯魚水槽も多く、見ごたえがありました。 ゆっくり回って大体 3時間ぐらい。 料金もとても安く、大満足です 中に食堂1つがあり、ますが、土日はいっぱいで入れませんでした。 駐車場は、入り口の向かいにありますが台数は限られるます。駅の近くの駐車をご利用された方がいいかもしれません。
