地盤隆起で海面下に残った木の保存博物館です。地球の不思議を感じます。 魚津によく観察出来る蜃気楼の紹介もあり、子供にも大人にも良い施設と思います。

SNSで見て気になっていたところで、魚津水族館との共通券で入館。 蜃気楼の仕組みや埋没林について展示されています。 水中展示館では水没状態の大きな杉の根を上や横から観察でき、とても幻想的で、自然のスケールの大きさを垣間見れます。 薄暗く不気味な感じもあり、人によって好き嫌いが分かれるかもしれません。自然が好きな大人なら、興味深く学べると思います。

スギの埋没林をたくさん見られる施設 恐らく埋没林を見学できる施設はここしかないと思うので貴重 魚津水族館とセットで買うと300円くらいお得
