寺院🛕の存在自体は知っていて 自転車で小倉から伺いました。 坂が大変でしたが無事辿り着きました。 寺院内は、そんなに広くありませんが線香の香りと不思議な雰囲気でした。 歴史があるのにも概要説明などで知りました。 門司港を一望できる景色も素晴らしかったです。 落ち着く場所なのでまた来たいと思います。

2024.9.15訪問 訪れた時は日本人はおらず、ミャンマーの若い子?が綺麗な衣装を着て大勢来られてました。 眺めも良く、素晴らしい所でした。 門司港レトロ行くよりコチラに行きましょう。 詳しく事は他の方のレビューを見て下さい。

戦没者の慰霊と世界平和祈念のために作られた南伝(多分現ミャンマー)仏教系の寺院のようです。南方でよく見るオレンジ色の袈裟を着たお坊さんが居られました。 御本尊?は東南アジアの方で見かける金ピカで後光が電飾の仏像でした。直接見たのは初めて。壁に飾られてた絵が傷んでしまってたのが惜しいところ。 パゴダ前の展望所から門司の街が一望できます。 拝観料は二百円でした。
