小倉駅に向かう途中、住宅街の中にあります。 案内版がなければ気がつきませんでした。 森鴎外が北九州に住んできた家屋を保存しているとの事です。 外観だけでなく家の中へも上がることが出来ます。 森鴎外の活躍の資料も詳しく展示されておりました。 無料で見学出来ます。

落ち着いた和の建築。 縁側などもあります。 季節によって花なども楽しめるでしょう。 今は繁華街、飲み屋街ですが、当時の小倉はこのような雰囲気で静かだったのかもしれませんね。
