The main attraction is the wisteria flowers, which bloom in full force on a massive trellis covering an area of approximately 1,200 tatami mats from mid-April to mid-May. The "Garden of Illuminated Flowers," which was selected as one of Japan's three major illuminations, is also a must-see.

Ashikaga Flower Park is particularly famous for its wisteria flowers. Every year in spring, a beautiful wisteria tunnel is set up, with a length of over 80 meters, making you feel like you've wandered into a fantastic world when you pass through it. Ashikaga Flower Park is also famous as a spot for illumination. It has been selected as one of Japan's three major illuminations, and the flower fields that span approximately 100,000 square meters are decorated with over 5 million bulbs, creating a fantastic atmosphere. The lighting time for the illumination varies depending on the season, but it is held from October to February. While viewing the illumination, taking a stroll through the shining and shadowy area, as if it were a star, will put you in a very romantic mood!

The Ashikaga School Ruins, located about 15 minutes by car from Ashikaga Flower Park, are known as Japan's first school, and the building that was revived as a school in 1439 still exists today. It's a popular tourist spot in Tochigi prefecture where you can feel the history. There is a museum on the site that displays materials related to education at the time and the history of the Ashikaga School. You can also see the school building and classroom ruins. The Ashikaga School Ruins are located near Ashikaga Flower Park, so when visiting Ashikaga City, we recommend visiting both facilities!

The Ashikaga Flower Park is a vast botanical garden where beautiful flowers bloom throughout the seasons. It's particularly famous for its wisteria flowers, which form multiple layers of trellises and create an 80-meter tunnel. The wisteria flowers are in full bloom from April to May, and the illuminated wisteria at night captivates visitors with its fantastic beauty. In addition to wisteria, various flowers bloom throughout the seasons, such as tulips and cherry blossoms in spring, hydrangeas and water lilies in summer, and pansies and amethyst sage in autumn. The flower park also has gourmet and souvenir shops. Why not spend a luxurious time surrounded by flowers and greenery, and enjoy nature?

佐野IC近くのイルミネーションが見られるテーマパーク。冬季限定です。他の季節は綺麗な花々がたくさん見れます。食事どころも複数あり。お土産屋も充実してます。イルミネーションは綺麗で圧巻です。彼氏彼女奥さん旦那や家族連れで一度は訪れてほしい場所です。

藤がとてもキレイな時期に行ったわけではなかったですが、なかなかステキなところでした。オープン前にパーキングに車を停めて待ったのですが、すでに何台か先に到着していた車がありました。フラワーパーク内では植木、植物、花なども販売しており、結構皆さんお買い求めされているようでした。フラワーパークの目玉、藤が綺麗に咲く時期に行くのが１番良いと思います。

【栃木県足利市の名所『あしかがフラワーパーク』夜のイルミネーション②】足利市で訪れた『あしかがフラワーパーク』平成9年(1997年)4月に開園敷地面積は82000㎡と広大です。様々な花や木々が植えられていますが年間を通して様々な行事が開催されています。夜のイルミネーションが非常に有名なので今回は夜の訪問。想像以上に美しいイルミネーションで感動しました。 ※NikonのフラッグシップミラーレスカメラZ9で撮影使用レンズはF2.8 24‐70㎜の広角ズームレンズ
