天草・島原の乱の戦没者など、キリスト教殉教者の墓がある場所。慰霊碑の類もいくつか建っています。 同時に、市街地の眺めを楽しみながらゆっくり休憩できるベンチなどの施設、子供向けの遊具が並ぶ広場もあります。 現代の人々にとっては、遠い歴史を想いながらくつろぐ場所ですね。

思い出の詰まった公園に随分久しぶりにやって来た。この春は、切支丹関連の場所を多く回った。明るい青空と神仏キリスト教がごっちゃになった公園。猫がたくさんいたよ。

秋には、紅葉を楽しんでいます。😃🎶歴史を知ると更に感動 天草には、兜をかぶり男装して敵と戦った強き女性が多くいらっしゃった事この地に城があった事、城の城主の事などすごく興味深いことだらけ🙏
