360-Degree View of the Beautiful Islands of Seto Inland Sea

Mt. Misen Observatory is located at the highest peak of Miyajima and offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the beautiful islands of Seto Inland Sea. It features a simple yet attractive design and a spacious relaxation space. The mysterious atmosphere of the scattered strange rocks at the summit is also captivating. The use of a ropeway is also recommended, making it perfect for family trips or mountain climbing enthusiasts! However, please note that it is only open from 10:00 to 16:00.
Point 2

Spacious and Relaxing Space to Unwind

The charm of Mt. Misen Observatory lies in its spacious and relaxing space. Here, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view in a comfortable space made of hinoki wood. The tranquility that emanates from the calm atmosphere of the veranda is exceptional. Taking deep breaths while gazing at the beautiful Seto Inland Sea and the changing seasons of nature is truly blissful. Spending time at Mt. Misen Observatory will bring you new discoveries and emotions!
Point 3

A Variety of Mountain Climbing Courses to Experience Nature

Mt. Misen Observatory is located on the highest peak in Hatsukaichi City, offering a variety of mountain climbing courses where you can experience nature. There are plenty of options, including the Daishoin Course, which is safe for beginners, and the easy access provided by the ropeway. From the summit, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view and spend a leisurely time in the rest area. It's also known as a power spot, making it the perfect place to refresh while feeling the power of nature!
Point 4

Overwhelming Views from the Shishi-iwa Observatory

The greatest attraction of Miyajima's Mt. Misen Observatory is the overwhelming views from the Shishi-iwa Observatory. The 360-degree panoramic view, which overlooks Miyajima, one of Japan's three most scenic spots, is truly impressive! The simple design, which makes abundant use of wood, is also wonderful. It is recommended to visit in the morning or before 1 pm, as the footing can become precarious in the evening. If you visit the Mt. Misen Observatory, be sure not to miss this spectacular view!
Point 5

Mt. Misen, a Sacred Island since Ancient Times

The Mt. Misen Observatory offers a breathtaking view of Mt. Misen, which has been revered as a sacred island since ancient times. From the newly renovated observatory, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful Seto Inland Sea and unique rock formations that stretch out in all directions. We recommend visiting in the morning to see the Michelin three-star rated scenery. Along with the refreshing atmosphere, you can also enjoy the nature-rich hiking trails!
