名称のとおり足を助ける神様として、足の健康や病気治癒、旅や交通の安全などにご利益があると信仰されています。境内は広くありませんが、ご神木や神馬の銅像、大きなわらじも奉納されていました。

境内の落ち葉を掃除している神社の関係者は香嵐渓の紅葉を観に来ている沢山の観光客をどう思っているのかなと思ってしまいました。

足助八幡宮は足腰治癒に関する逸話が数多く伝わってるようです。だからか、絵馬も足形をしていました。人も少なく、ゆったりした時間を過ごせました。 直書きのご朱印いただけました^ ^ 駐車場は道路向かいの有料の駐車場に停めました。 新緑がキレイな時期で、香嵐渓の遊歩道?もしっかり楽しめました♪
