The Mitake Ropeway operates round-trip over a distance of 2,330 meters and an elevation difference of 580 meters in about 15 minutes one way. You can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the Central Alps, including Mt. Kiso-Komagatake, as well as Mt. Norikura, Mt. Hotaka, Mt. Yari, Mt. Yatsugatake, and Mt. Asama.

At the Mitake Ropeway, approximately 80 capsule-type gondolas circulate continuously. It travels from the Kagano-se Station on the fifth station of Mount Mitake to the Iimori Kogen Station on the seventh station, with a total length of 2,330m and a one-way trip taking about 15 minutes. Easy Access! How to Get to Mt. Mitake Ropeway
Access to Mt. Mitake Ropeway is easy by car or public transportation. If you're coming by car, take National Route 19 from the Chuo Expressway Nakatsugawa IC and head towards Mt. Ontake for about 80 minutes. Then, turn towards Mt. Mitake at the Motohashi intersection and you'll arrive in about 40 minutes. Traveling by car is convenient. For those using public transportation, take the Chuo Main Line Limited Express Shinano to Kiso-Fukushima Station, then transfer to the Ontake Kotsu bus and you'll arrive in about 60 minutes. You can easily access it using convenient public transportation. Getting to Mt. Mitake Ropeway is easy! Enjoy your free time and savor the charm of Mt. Mitake.

Parking

Comfortable Parking Environment! Ontake Ropeway Parking Lot
Ontake Ropeway offers a convenient parking lot. First, you can use the first parking lot right in front of the ropeway's base station. If the first parking lot is full, you can also use the second, third, and fourth parking lots, so please come with peace of mind. Parking is free, and the total capacity is 700 cars. We have prepared enough parking spaces, so you can safely leave your car with us.

Fee

Mt. Mitake Ropeway Fees
At Mt. Mitake Ropeway, you can use it at a reasonable price. For a round trip, the fee is 2,600 yen for adults and 1,300 yen for children. For one way, it's 1,400 yen for adults and 700 yen for children. In addition, we offer a special discount system for families. By using the Family Round-Trip Discount Ticket, you can ride even more affordably. With beautiful scenery, Mt. Mitake Ropeway offers a comfortable time at a reasonable price.
