Soak in an Ocean View Hot Spring!

The biggest attraction of Tomonoura Onsen is the beautiful view of the Seto Inland Sea while soaking in the hot springs. All three inns boast ocean view hot springs, but if you want to enjoy an especially breathtaking view, head to the rooftop open-air bath at Hotel Seifuutei. This bath is located on the hotel's rooftop and is an open-air bath where you can enjoy the sea of Tomonoura as far as the eye can see. The hot spring, which you can enjoy in a place close to both the sky and the sea, is the best! There is also a private open-air bath on the same rooftop where you can spend a luxurious 50 minutes in private. Please note that the rooftop open-air bath and private open-air bath at Hotel Seifuutei are for hotel guests only and cannot be used from December to February.
Point 2

Visit a Hot Spring Where You Can Take a Day Trip Bath!

Tomonoura Onsen Visit a Hot Spring Where You Can Take a Day Trip Bath!
For those who want to take a quick bath after sightseeing in Tomonoura, we recommend Hotel Kofutei, where you can take a day trip bath! There is a large bath and an open-air bath, and in front of you, the sea of Tomonoura spreads out! The business hours are from 11:00 to 20:00. The fee is 1,400 yen for adults and 700 yen for children. Bath towels are available for free rental, and you can also rent a bath towel for 330 yen, so you can go there without any preparation! It's open until 20:00, so it's also nice to stop by and heal your tired body after a day of fun!
Point 3

Enjoy Hot Springs and a Kaiseki Lunch!

If you've come all the way to the Seto Inland Sea, you'll definitely want to try some delicious local fish! For those people, we recommend the day trip plan at Scenic View Hotel Rantei, which includes hot springs and lunch. The baths include a large public bath and an open-air bath, both of which offer a fantastic view of the sea at Tomonoura! The kaiseki cuisine served in the dining area is made with plenty of Tomonoura sea bream and is very luxurious, including dishes such as sea bream rice and sea bream shabu-shabu! The usage time is from 11:00 to 14:00, so you can relax and stay a while, soaking in the hot springs and eating your meal. The price starts at 5,500 yen per person, including the bath and kaiseki cuisine, and reservations are required. This is recommended for those who want to enjoy both delicious hot springs and seafood!
Point 4

Touring Nearby Tourist Spots!

Tomonoura Onsen Touring Nearby Tourist Spots!
One thing we definitely recommend enjoying along with the hot springs are the nearby tourist spots! There are many famous tourist spots in Tomonoura within walking distance from the hot springs along the coast. First, take a walk along the coast and head to the municipal ferry terminal! From there, take a boat to Sensui Island and touch the famous power spot, Goshiki-iwa, to heal your daily fatigue. After walking along the beach and exploring the island a bit, return to Tomonoura Port and head to Fukuzenji Taichoro, where you can see a spectacular view just a stone's throw away! Then, take a stroll through the town and walk towards the Tomonoura lighthouse. Along the way, there are many interesting alleys and shops to explore! If you get tired of walking, there are cafes and breakwaters where you can sit and relax, so take your time and enjoy the town of Tomonoura!
Point 5

View Fireworks Up Close from Your Hot Spring Inn Room!

Tomonoura Onsen View Fireworks Up Close from Your Hot Spring Inn Room!
The Fukuyama Tomonoura Bentenjima Fireworks Festival is held every year on the last Saturday of May in Tomonoura, with around 2,000 fireworks launched from Benten Island. We recommend watching the fireworks up close and leisurely from your hot spring inn room! As all the hot spring inns are located near Benten Island where the fireworks are launched, you can enjoy the fireworks festival from your room. It's a luxurious experience to be able to watch the fireworks rising over the refreshing early summer Seto Inland Sea from your room! As this time of year is popular, it's best to make reservations early!

Sightseeing

Tomonoura Onsen Enjoy the Stunning Views and Hot Springs of Tomonoura!
Enjoy the Stunning Views and Hot Springs of Tomonoura!
There are three facilities where you can stay overnight or take a day trip to the Tomonoura hot springs: Hotel Seafukutei, Keishokan Rentei, and Teitei Enon Kinon. All of these facilities offer hot springs with a view of the sea at Tomonoura. The types of baths available vary by accommodation, including large public baths, private baths, and outdoor baths. The hot springs are rare even on a national scale, as they are radium hot springs that stimulate the body with a small amount of radiation, said to have immunity-boosting, metabolic-promoting, and detoxifying effects. Tomonoura town center is also nearby, with plenty of tourist attractions in the surrounding area, so it's a great idea to take a leisurely stroll around town after enjoying the hot springs!
