お遍路で38番さん、金剛福寺へ。 土佐くろしお鉄道の中村駅前から、高知西南バスの足摺岬線に乗車しました。 1時間30分程乗車して、足摺岬へ到着しました。 料金は1,990円です。 バスは現金対応で、新紙幣は運転手さんが両替してくれます。 金剛福寺には、美しい池があります。 池に反射した、塔が美しいです。 観光バスが常に到着して、お遍路さんが続々と参拝していきます。 お寺の前には、2軒ほど土産屋があります。 バスでのお遍路の際は、バスの本数が少ないので事前に調査が必要です。

四国八十八個所の寺の中三十八番に当たるお寺さん、静粛な雰囲気なんだけど来るものを拒むような閉塞された空気ではない、凄く居心地がいい場所でした、2時間も留まってしまったなー お遍路でここに来る予定なら色々覚悟した方がいいかも知れません、寺と寺の間が結構離れてる高知の中でも金剛福寺はトップクラスです

足摺岬観光のついでに寄りました。 足摺岬の近くにある四国最南端の第38番札所です。四国霊場88ヶ所巡りの中でも、札所間の距離が最も長い札所です。 前の37番札所から80余km、いまは車で約2時間余、歩いたら約30時間、四国霊場の札所間では最長距離で、まさに「修行の道場」と言えます。 金剛福寺は、弘法大師が三面千手観音を本尊として823年に建立されたものです。 境内は120,000平方メートルを誇る大道場で、山門の手前にはコンパクトな池に蓮の葉が浮かんでおり、境内の中は広い池の周りに十三石塔、逆修の塔、多宝塔などの多くの文化財があります。 なかなか立派なお寺なので、足摺岬まで来たなら立寄るのにお勧めです。
