日本で1番大きな合掌造りの家。築300年だそう。 加賀藩の役人が使うため、普通の合掌造りでは使うことが禁止されていた欅材をふんだんに使い、役人専用の玄関には欄間もあります。 当主ご夫妻に、丁寧に説明していただきました。 五箇山特産の和紙を使った置き物や、こきりこ、ささらなども売っています。 写真はヘビと、厄除けの獅子頭です。 近くへ行ったら必見です。

薬草茶を飲みながら、実際に話しを聞いて解説が受けられるのがいいですね。 燻された二階三階のすすのにおいも、当時のリアリティを感じられます。 私一人でしたが、こきりこ節も披露していただきました。ありがとうございます。 白山登山を豪雨と雷で中止せざるを得なくなり立ち寄りましたが、世界遺産の〇〇郷よりもオススメです。

五箇山温泉赤尾館宿泊の際に、立ち寄りました。宿の前にある国指定重要文化財岩瀬家、入館料は400円で、スタッフの方が案内説明してくれます。約300年前に、8年もの歳月を費やして建てられたもので、準5階建ての合掌造り家屋です。1階と2階が居住区で、3階から5階は養蚕の作業場になっていたそうです。上の階に行く階段は、ほぼはしごなので、注意して登り降りしてください。他にも、こきりこ節の楽器を説明して頂き、生唄も拝聴出来ました。白川郷や、相倉、菅沼が、世界遺産で有名ですが、越中五箇山合掌造りも、負けず劣らず良いものです。
