The Tsuyama Folklore Museum has valuable exhibits that are essential to understanding the history of the Mimasaka region. Among them is a kofun period pottery coffin made possible by advancements in kiln technology. The bottom has many hollow cylindrical legs and beautiful decorations. The building itself is also a cultural asset with a charming atmosphere, and you can enjoy an audio guide narrated by popular voice actor Yoshitada Otsuka. Please come and visit at least once!

At the Tsuyama Local History Museum, 22 excellent local swords with a history dating back to the Edo period are on display. The beautiful blade patterns of famous swordsmith Kanekage, as well as works from the Fukuoka Ichimonji school and the Bizen Aoe school, are lined up. This valuable collection can only be seen here! Don't miss the chance to touch swords with historical significance related to the local area.
