もがみ型3番艦「のしろ」の艦内神社はここ日吉神社より御分霊を奉祀されてます。 平日に詣でたので他に人がいなかったせいか凛とした空気感(?)が心地よくて長く滞在してしまいました。 社務所は閉じていましたが、お声がけしたら快く御朱印に応じていただけました。 2022年の就役時に佐世保まで分詞に行かれた当時のお話も聞かせていただきました。

能代市御指南町に鎮座している日吉神社です。御祭神は大山咋大神、大物主大神、大国主大神。創建は天文2年(1533)と伝えられます。日吉神社のご祭神が縁結びの神として崇められており、幸せをお祈りしたことから始まったとされる”嫁見まつり”が毎年行われます。 以前訪れたとき(2014年)は、一の鳥居が足元を分厚いコンクリで覆われた明神鳥居でしたが… あれ?今回は朱色が鮮やかな山王鳥居に代わっておりました。

昭和24年に社殿が火事になり、社殿脇のトチノキも燃えたそうです。 社殿復興しトチノキも内部は炭化していますが外側は残って未だ青々とした葉をつけています。 因みに女性の宮司さんだそうです。
