能代中心部にあるスポット。 この建築が無料で見られるのはすごい。 廊下の畳は25mの継ぎ目のない特注のもの、満月の間の天井は9.1mの一枚板。 そしてとても広い大広間の天井は樹齢260年以上の秋田杉から畳一畳の大きさで切り出して作った四畳半仕切り格天井。 見てるだけでとてもワクワクした。 他にも北前船の寄港地の都市の紹介や能代の伝統工芸品など見どころ満載。 能代の祭りである天空の不夜城のミニチュアを見たが、実際の本物も見てみたいと思った。

能代駅から徒歩約10分、柳町にあるかつての料亭は国の有形文化財に登録され観光施設として公開されています。秋田杉を用いた素晴らしい建築物で、大広間は特に必見だと思います。事前に申し込めば、座敷でランチなどもいただけるとのことで、次回は食事を予約して現役当時の雰囲気を味わって見たいと思います。
