Gozaseki Shrine is a power spot in Senboku City, Akita Prefecture, where people pray for beauty. The shrine is named after the fact that Akita feudal lord Satake Yoshitaka, who visited Lake Tazawa, sat down and rested there. Near the torii gate, there are famous spots such as a scene where seven types of trees grow from one tree called the Seven-Colored Tree, a sacred spring where Tatuko drank and turned into a dragon, and a Mirror Stone where Tatuko's figure is said to be reflected. In addition, around the shrine, Lake Tazawa spreads out, and if the weather is good, you can enjoy the bright blue lake surface and the vermilion torii gate. At Gozaseki Shrine, there is a ring of chigaya for visitors to purify their minds and bodies and pray for good health. When passing through the ring of chigaya, visitors draw a figure-eight to the left and right and pass through three times. On the left side of the shrine, there is a cedar tree with a history of about 450 years, which is designated as a natural monument by the city, and you will be overwhelmed by its power.
