Kan'ō-gū (Ukigami Shrine) is a small shrine located on the banks of Lake Tazawa in Nishikimachi Nishimyoji, Senboku City, Akita Prefecture. The shrine has a shape that protrudes into the lake and is also known as "Ukigami Shrine" because it enshrines a large floating log (driftwood) that washed ashore. It is said that Kan'ō-gū was built in 1769 and enshrines Akita samurai and haiku poet, Akegashira Myojin. Kan'ō-gū is said to bring good luck in matchmaking and is located on the banks of Lake Tazawa, attracting visitors with its natural beauty. It is also known for its modern shrine architecture, with its characteristic white wooden building. 金色のたつこ像のすぐ横にある神社です。名前は、漢槎宮で、浮木神社とも呼ばれます。漢槎宮は「かんさぐう」と読みます。浮木神社は、「うききじんじゃ」と読みます。流れついた浮木(大木が湖面から2メートルぐらい顔を出し、斜めに水底に深く消えている流木)を祭ったものといわれているそうです。(仙北市HPより)神社は小さいのですが、鳥居をくぐって、賽銭を投げて、お参りができます。ぐるっと回りを回ることができます。落ちそうなので、気をつけて。(2024年10月)

別名で「浮木神社」と呼ばれています。 隣には有名な「たつこ姫像」があります。 車で参拝に来る場合には、駐車料金200円がかかります(2025年1月時点) ※参拝をした際に、「大祓の祝詞」を奏上しようとしたら、言葉が詰まって何も喋れなくなった。 それならばと「簡易祝詞」(「祓いたまえ、清めたまえ」を3回唱えるもの)を言おうとしたら、これもまた「はらいたまえ」の「は」の言葉も口から出て来なかった。 このような場合は、神様から「そんなもの不要だ」という意味らしいが果たして何だったのだろう。

訪問日 2023.4.25.早朝 田沢湖湖畔に鎮座する 小さな社。白木造りの社殿。 流れ着いた浮木(大木が湖面から2メートルぐらい顔を出し斜めに水底に深く消えている流木) を祀ったものと言われています。 有名なたつこ像のそばに あります。 この日は桜が満開で 青空と湖面の色と 桜の色合いが見事でした。 早朝で観光客もいなくて 撮影には最適でしたが どうしても時間帯の関係で 逆光になってしまい 少しだけ残念です。 こちらは駐車場が 近くの売店で買い物しないと 停められないのでご注意下さい。 撮影スポットなので かなりの観光客が訪れます。 渋滞とかにもなります。 訪れる際は気をつけて。 2024.5.5.早朝 一年ぶりに訪問 ゴールデンウィーク後半戦 でしたが6:00頃は ウォーキングやランニング お散歩している方が数名 お見受けするのみで とても静かでした
