The Yokote Masuda Manga Museum is Japan's first full-fledged art museum with a manga theme. It houses and displays over 180 valuable original manga drawings from both domestic and foreign renowned manga artists, including Takao Yaguchi, a native of Masuda town. The number of collected original drawings exceeds 450,000, of which over 10,000 are on display. In addition, the museum has a "Manga Storage Exhibition Room" where original drawings by Takao Yaguchi and raw manuscripts by other manga artists are exhibited. 江口寿史先生の企画展があり、 子供が行ってみたいというので、家族で来館。江口先生の描く女の子はとてもかわいく魅力的でした。フォトスポットもあり、ぜひたくさんの方に見てほしいと思いました。 企画展以外は無料で楽しめて、 大満足でした。貴重な作家さんの絵が見れるし、2階にはたくさんの漫画が置いてあり、無料で読み放題なので何時間でもいれるなぁと思いました。話題のマンガも多いので品数に驚きました。 いつか藤本タツキ先生の企画展・サイン会やってほしいです!! 実は秋田県出身という漫画家さんを県外の方に知ってほしいので、推して宣伝してほしいし、漫画で秋田が盛りがったらいいなぁと思ってます。

企画展以外は無料で、館内も駐車場も広く、平日に訪れたのですが、とても空いていました。そして、静かでした! 漫画をそれほど読むほうではないのですが、増田の町なみ観光の近くでしたので立ち寄りましたが、結局4時間以上いました。 初めて訪れたのでスタッフの方から回り方をおしえていただきました。 いろんな原画の展示が感動しました。雑誌や小さなコミック紙に収められた絵の原画がこれほどすばらしいとは驚きました。 漫画とラフな言い方ではなく、もう芸術の域だったのですね。 懐かしい漫画から、最近のものまで、パネルでの紹介はとても見ごたえがありました。 また、読める漫画をは圧巻で、何から手を付けていいのやら・・・ ゆっくり端から漫画の背表紙と、漫画家さんの名前をながめているだけでも鑑賞になりますね。 皆さん、丁寧に扱っているのかどの漫画も傷んでいなかったのも感心しました。 カフェも利用させていただきました。スタッフの方がとても親切でお店の雰囲気も漫画づくしでよかったです。 これだけの施設が無料は驚きました。 無料である必要はないように感じますが・・・無料にしたほうがいい子供や学生さんはともかく、個人的には何時間も楽しませてもらいましたので、こちらの施設が永続できるように入館料はあってもいいのではないかと思いました。

近くに住みたいくらい素晴らしい施設です。 常設展示はもちろん、企画展も魅力的な作家さん方のイベントが連なり、企画力と地域を盛り上げようという意欲を感じます。 来場の目的が赤髪の白雪姫の展示で明日で期間終了でしたが、連休という事もあってか館内はとても混み合っており活気がありました。
