国の名勝に指定された素晴らしい庭園です。紅葉の名所でもあり、敷地内一杯に秋の彩りが美しく染まり圧巻でした。秋田県で初の鉄筋コンクリート建造物で国の重要文化財に指定された洋館は近代建築としての価値が高く非常に興味深く見学できました。ビリヤード場がまた良い味を出していました。一見の価値のあるおすすめ観光スポットだと思います。

2024.11.11。月曜日はお休み。無料駐車場は道路挟んで向かいに約15台有。巨洲館(旧池田氏庭園案内所)と同じ駐車場。 月曜日だったので残念、泣。 また今度、来てみたい。 巨洲館の窓の張り紙に、冬季期間は見学が出来ないと書かれていました。要注意ですね。(画像添付) せっかくなので、小雨の中、外から見える所だけ撮影。

宮城の斎藤氏と並び、東北三大地主だそうです。 先祖代々続いてきた池田氏は第13代当主文太郎の時代に 学校、保健施設、農業施設などを建設。 さらに私財を投じて大正時代に庭園、洋館などを造った。 プールとかあったみたいです。 現在は戦火の中で焼失してしまった木造の一部を復元しています。 土蔵は崩落しそうなところもあり、先への立ち入り禁止、重要文化財になっている洋館は二階への立ち入りが予約制、公開日は限定的となっています。 秋が深まるにつれ、庭の紅葉がさぞかし素晴らしいことになると思います。 雨の日は観光客が少なくてゆっくり人気のないところを散策することができました。 入場料大人300円、JAF特典はポストカード一枚でした。 園内、傘の貸し出しがあります。 車イスだと砂利道なので大変ですね。また庭園の石段など、無理が多いです。
