初めて八甲田の地獄沼を訪れて、その独特の雰囲気と自然の迫力に圧倒されました。酸ヶ湯温泉から徒歩5分ほどとアクセスが良く、道沿いに突然現れる乳青色や青緑色の沼は、まるで別世界のような神秘的な美しさです。沼の底からは90℃以上の高温の温泉が湧き出し、あちこちから湯気が立ち上る様子や、硫黄の強い香りが辺りに漂い、文字通り「地獄」を思わせる光景が広がっています。 沼の周囲は火山活動の名残で草木がほとんど生えておらず、荒涼とした景色が印象的でしたが、秋には周囲の木々が鮮やかに紅葉し、青みがかった沼とのコントラストがまるで絵画のような絶景を生み出します。湖面には八甲田山の山並みが映り込み、天候や季節によって違った表情を見せてくれるのも魅力です。 安全のため沼への立ち入りは禁止されていますが、間近で見学でき、写真撮影にも絶好のスポットです。観光客は比較的少なく、静かに自然の力強さや美しさを感じながら散策できました。近くには「まんじゅうふかし」と呼ばれるユニークな温泉施設もあり、散策の合間に立ち寄るのもおすすめです。 全体として、地獄沼はその名の通りの荒々しさと、八甲田ならではの四季折々の美しさが同居する、不思議で魅力的なスポットでした。温泉地や八甲田山観光の際には、ぜひ一度立ち寄ってみてほしい場所です。

ちょうどお昼ごろにこの道を通って青森に向かっていたが、走っているとすばらしい風景に出会って、車を止めて写真を撮った。 青森の桜の満開の時期の曇りから晴れになっていく時間に通ったがタイミングが良かったと思う。 非常にきれいだった。

酸ヶ湯温泉近くにあります かつては火口であったとのことです 湧き出る温泉水がたまって沼となり、周辺には火山活動の噴気口がいくつもあり、今でも硫黄を多く含んだガスが噴出しています 沼には湯気が立ち込め硫黄臭がするため地獄沼と呼ばれます
