This path is a promenade where you can easily experience the natural environment and beech forests of the Shirakami Mountains, and even beginners can walk with peace of mind. There are two courses, about 1.5km and about 2km, and you can choose according to your time and physical strength. There is also a 3.5km course that goes around both courses. On the walking trail, you can feel the beauty of nature up close, such as ancient trees growing powerfully, lovely flowers blooming, and the chirping of wild birds echoing. At your feet, there is a soft, decomposed leaf soil made up of beech leaves that have accumulated for many years, giving you a pleasant feeling with every step. This walking trail was created within the World Heritage Site, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of early spring buds, spring snow, and fresh greenery. Because you can easily experience the natural environment, even beginners can enjoy walking casually. The difficulty level of the path is beginner, and the time required for the small course is about 15 to 20 minutes. 1 Hour by Car or Bus from JR Hirosaki Station!
Access to the World Heritage Site, Beech Forest Path, is located about 60-90 minutes by car or direct bus from JR Hirosaki Station. The entrance to the Beech Forest Path is adjacent to Aqua Green Village ANMON, serving as a landmark for access. Aqua Green Village ANMON is not only the starting point for the Beech Forest Path, but also for the Anmon Waterfall Valley Route, so we recommend aiming for it by car or public transportation.
