7-minute Walk from Kanagi Station!
When accessing the Dazai Osamu Memorial Museum "Shayoukan" using public transportation, first arrive at Kanagi Station on the Tsugaru Railway. The Dazai Osamu Memorial Museum "Shayoukan" is about a 7-minute walk from Kanagi Station. You can arrive by following the signs after leaving the station. If using a car, take National Route 339 via Goshogawara Kita IC on the Tsugaru Expressway towards the direction of Ryufu and Nakadomari. Follow the road signs and you will arrive at the Dazai Osamu Memorial Museum "Shayoukan" in about 15 minutes.

12月の平日14時すぎに訪れました。色の乏しい冬の街にあって一際大きく、そして鮮やかな赤い屋根が見えた時は衝撃を受けました。予想よりずっと大きく立派だったからです。内部は聞きしに勝る豪奢な作り、太宰の「風情も何も無い、ただ大きいのである」という言葉のニュアンスと実物の差、そして太宰を援助し続けた経済力の大きさを知ることができます。 館内は各部屋の説明パネルもありますが、スマホでネット上の音声ガイドを利用することもできました(QRコードのリンクを開くのみで登録不要)。平日ということもあり、私の他に見学者は2、3名のみでした。 エントランスの突き当たり台所の向かい側が休憩コーナーとなっており、太宰作品に触れられるコーナーとなっています。一部蛍光灯が切れかけていたのが気になりましたが、暖房は効いており、次の列車の時間までゆっくりと過ごすことができました。 私は太宰の大ファンという訳ではありませんが、太宰や大正〜昭和の文学に関心のある方であれば楽しめると思います。 また、冬季に訪れるのであれば帰りを金木発ストーブ列車の最終16:12発に合わせると車内に照明が入り、なおかつ車窓から夕刻の景色を楽しむことができます。

明治40年の豪邸は今見てもとんでもなく豪邸だった。 小説津軽でも、津島家と、兄の影響力について書いてあったが、まさに当時の財力を感じる豪華さだった。 とても良い観光になった。

平日15:00過ぎの訪問となります。 かねてから伺いたいと思っていましたが、そうこうしている間にやがて月日は流れ、ようやくようやく訪れることができました。 かつてに於いても、そして現在に於いても、とにかく莫大なな財を成した成功者の証として現存するとても良いコンディションに保たれた建造物だと感じます。 勿論太宰治の生家として知られているものの、太宰治の誕生の部屋まで見学することのできる貴重な施設と言えるでしょう。 館内を巡っていると、ふと徐にかつて触れた斜陽の記憶が蘇ってきます。 直治とかず子のことから始まり、斜陽の一節にあったとても印象的な 海は、こうしてお座敷に座っていると、 ちょうど私のお乳のさきに水平線がさわるくらいの高さに見えた。 など断片的な記憶の一片が集まりを見せ、やがてそれは壮大な世界へと私を誘います。 一つの記憶から始まり、繋がりを見せるこのエピソード。 斜陽館という国指定重要文化財である前に、太宰治に触れる特別な機会を私に与えてくれました。 もう一度太宰治の作品に触れたい気持ちが新に芽生える瞬間でもありました。 ありがとうございます。
