Koriyama City's symbolic urban park
This park was developed in the early Meiji period, centered around Lake Suzu. It is beloved by many citizens as a symbol of Koriyama City. Approximately 1,300 cherry blossom trees bloom in the park, and the cherry blossom tunnel was used as a filming location for the movie "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time."

1,300 Cherry Blossom Trees in Full Bloom!

Kaisei-yama Park 1,300 Cherry Blossom Trees in Full Bloom!
Kaiseizan Park is a famous cherry blossom spot in Fukushima, with 1,300 cherry blossom trees planted, including Japan's oldest Somei Yoshino. During the blooming season, the park is illuminated at night, and many shops set up in front of Kaiseizan Shrine, making it crowded with many flower-viewing visitors. The cherry blossom tunnel is also a location in the movie "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time," offering a feeling of being inside the film and making it a very popular spot for taking photos.
Point 2

Rose Garden Opens in Spring and Autumn!

Kaisei-yama Park Rose Garden Opens in Spring and Autumn!
With about 400 species and 800 roses, including those donated by Eiichi Endo in 1971, the garden blooms on a 3,000㎡ site. The best time to see the roses is in June and October. The rose garden has few steps, so even those using a wheelchair can tour it with peace of mind. Walking through the garden feels like strolling through an English garden. You can spend an elegant time among the brightly colored roses.

Starting in April of 2022, play equipment featuring characters from the popular game "Pocket Monsters" (also known as "Pokemon") has been installed in Kaiseiyama Park. The park is nicknamed "Lucky Park" and has many play equipment that children will love, including slides, swings, sandboxes, benches, and more, all with Pokemon designs. The highlight of the park is a giant Lucky character that stands at a whopping 6 meters tall. The inside of the character is a complex play area with sound effects, making both children and adults excited to play!
Point 4

Take a Leisurely Stroll on the Circular Course

Kaisei-yama Park Take a Leisurely Stroll on the Circular Course
The park has a promenade and a circular course of about 2km has been set up. It's a popular spot not only for those who enjoy walking, but also for students and working people who come here to run. In particular, in spring, when about 1,300 cherry blossoms bloom, it's also enjoyable to take a walk or go for a walk among them. In addition, the "Izusuzu Lake" in the center of the park is very spacious and has a fountain, so you can take a refreshing stroll.
Point 5

Kaisei-yama Park is packed with facilities for children. In addition to Lucky Park, there are also children's and toddler's playgrounds where children can play freely. The children's playground is a park for elementary school students, and the energetic voices of children can be heard from the rope climbing and large slides. The toddler's playground is for ages 1-3, and features cute and heartwarming play equipment. Why not play with your child on a variety of play equipment?

Parking

Free Parking Available at Kaisei Mountain Park!
There are a total of three parking lots (450 spaces) within the park, and all are free to use. Of the three lots - the west lot, city hall lot, and sports center lot - the most popular is the west lot. During cherry blossom season, the road in front of the parking lot can become very congested, so be careful. The best parking spot to aim for is the sports center lot. Although it's a bit farther from the center of the park, it can accommodate more cars than the west lot, making it a good choice during tourist season!

駐車場は2時間迄だかが無料で美容室や花屋、カフェ、etcがあり桜の季節になると職員が桜の下の水辺を綺麗にしてます。多分、桜が水面で映えるように配慮だと思われます。
