This is a natural pond and stream garden adjacent to the crystal-clear Gohyakugawa River. Each season, flowers bloom all around, adding color to the garden. You can relax in the rest area while enjoying mountain vegetable tempura, soba, and onigiri.

Shikinosato Ryokusuien is a garden where you can enjoy flowers all year round. The site is also vast, covering about 30,000 tsubo, and a wide variety of flowers bloom there. In spring, you can enjoy cherry blossoms, azaleas, dogtooth violets, and rhododendrons, while in summer, hydrangeas, roses, and irises can be seen. In autumn, you can appreciate ginkgo trees and maple trees. Not only is there a wide variety of flowers, but there are also many of them, so there is plenty to see. It's a garden where flowers will welcome you no matter when you visit.

At the entrance of Ryokusui Park, there is Ryokusui Shrine, which is famous for its blessings for fertility. Inside the shrine, there is a sacred tree called "Ushi no Ki" (Cow Tree). The old Zelkova tree, which looks like a cow, is estimated to be about 600 years old. Together with the "Kame no Ishi" (Turtle Stone) on the opposite side, they welcome visitors. The Ushi no Ki tree is very large and impressive. There is a hollow at the base of the tree, through which you can see the statue of Kannon. When you visit, pray and receive blessings for fertility.

At Ryokusuien, you can have a family barbecue in the midst of vast nature. Barbecue sets, such as beef and pork sets, are also available, and if you bring your own ingredients, you can rent just the space. In the autumn, a sweet potato party is held where you can enjoy autumn leaves and eat sweet potatoes. There is also a covered plaza, so you can enjoy your meal even if it rains. It can accommodate up to 500 people (8:30-17:00), so why not take advantage of summer vacation or holidays and enjoy a meal under the blue sky?

A "azumaya" is a simple structure built for the purpose of enjoying a view or taking a break. In Ryokusuien Garden, there are two azumayas where you can take a break while enjoying the view of the three famous cherry blossom trees in Japan: Miharu Takizakura, Yamataka Jindai Sakura, and Neodani Mangetsu no Kozakura. In addition, the rest area sells soba and udon noodles, tempura made with mountain vegetables, and rice balls, which are highly regarded for their delicious taste. Eating while looking at the garden is an extraordinary experience!

Located within the grounds of Ryokusuien, there is a dog run where you can let your dog play without a leash. It's a valuable facility that allows dogs to socialize with other dogs and learn social skills, as well as relieve stress. Near the entrance of the dog run, you can also enjoy a barbecue with your dog. After playing in the spacious grounds, why not have a barbecue together? Please note that the dog run is generally limited to one dog per owner, and can be used for 500 yen per hour.

Seasonal Beauty at Rokusuien in Kikuta-cho, Koriyama
Rokusuien is located in Kikuta-cho, Koriyama, and is easily accessible by car, being about 15 minutes from Koriyama IC and Bandai-Atami IC. If you come by train, you can take a taxi from Kikuta Station on the Banetsu West Line and arrive in about 10 minutes. The parking lot can accommodate 200 regular cars and 10 large buses, and all parking is free of charge.
