Nanko Park is Japan's oldest park, built by the lord of Shirakawa, Matsudaira Sadanobu, under the principle of "mutual prosperity between samurai and commoners." Parking

Recommended to Use the East Parking Lot of Nanako Park
Nanako Park is one of the top cherry blossom viewing spots in the prefecture, so it gets very crowded during cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons. Although there are parking lots at the shops scattered throughout Nanako Park, it is recommended to use the "East Parking Lot of Nanako Park" during the tourist season. It can accommodate up to 200 cars and parking is free. A slope is installed from the parking lot, allowing direct access to Nanako Park.

Access

Good Access by Car or Bus!
Nanko Park is approximately a 10-minute drive from the Shirakawa Chuo Smart IC, and has a large free parking lot, so those who come by car can rest assured. There is also a bus that runs through Nanko Park from JR Shin-Shirakawa Station, so you can also get there by public transportation. It takes about 10 minutes by bus from Shin-Shirakawa Station to Nanko Park. After getting off the bus, you will arrive at Nanko Park in just a 1-minute walk.
