Access

Renting a Car is Recommended!
To access the Yakiyama Lava Flow, it's recommended to use a rental car. If using public transportation, first access JR Omoshiroi Station, and from there it's about a 20-minute drive to the observation route for the lava flow. If using public transportation, it's convenient to use a taxi or rental car from the station. If using a personal car, you can arrive at the Yakiyama Lava Flow by taking National Route 282 via the Nishine IC on the Tohoku Expressway, which is about 7km away. Access by car is relatively easy, and the roads are well-maintained, making for smooth travel.

岩手山を望める景勝地(遊歩道)です。 駐車場ありです。 ゴツゴツとした溶岩石が一面に広がった場所で遊歩道が整備されています。普通の服装や靴でも歩けますが、溶岩石は固く不安定な足場なので、底が厚い靴で行くといいと思います。 木々も色づき始めの時期だったので自然探索しに訪れました。 展望台を目指して歩くコースのようですが、私は展望台の近くに車を駐めて展望台をスタートとして遊歩道を歩きました。 天気もよく岩手山を眺めながら歩くことができました。岩手山も紅葉が進んでいてとても綺麗な景色でした。 普段見ることがない溶岩石をよーく見てみると、白いコケがついていたり、ポツポツと小さい穴が空いていたりといろいろと発見があり楽しかったです。 至るところに松の木が生えていて生命力の強さを感じました。 手軽に自然探索や綺麗な景色が見れる場所なのでおすすめです。

2024年10月に八幡平へ紅葉狩りに行く途中に訪問しました! 無料の駐車場とトイレ、自販機があります! 国指定特別天然記念物で、岩手山は歴史上過去5回ほど噴火しており、黒く固まった溶岩は1732年に噴火したときのものだそうです! 噴出口から末端までの長さは3km、幅は1.5kmの規模だそうです! 駐車場から直ぐに片道約1キロメートルの観察路が設けられており、積雪で閉鎖される冬季以外は自由に見学することができます! ここから絶景の岩手山が観られます!

2024.11.18 15時頃訪問 この日は、今年初めての積雪だったそうで この時期に来るのは天気によっては足場も悪く、難しいかもしれません… 写真は向かう途中、入り口付近、駐車場にある看板です。 以前GWに来たことがあったのですが、その時は入り口だけ雪が残っており、散策はできました。 結構広かったように覚えています。 前→道の駅にしね 次→松川玄武岩
