Access

Attention to Bus Suspension in Winter
When accessing Hachimantai by public transportation, first head to JR Kakunodate-Kawanishi Station. From there, take a bus and arrive at the entrance of the Aspite Line in about an hour. Then transfer to a bus bound for the top of Hachimantai, get off at the final stop, and it's just a short walk away. However, please note that buses may be suspended during the winter season. If you're using a car, you can reach Hachimantai by taking National Route 341 via the Kakunodate-Hachimantai IC on the Tohoku Expressway, covering about 30km in about 40 minutes.
