小袖海岸にある穴の開いた奇岩。元々は洞穴部に釣鐘が設置されていたことから名称が付いた。1896年の明治三陸地震による津波で釣鐘は消失しており現在は何も無い。 自己責任だが上陸は可能。海岸に降りて岩場を進めば穴の下に立てます。潮が引いていれば靴は濡れない。特に難しくはないが、ある程度岩場に慣れた人向きです。靴はスニーカー程度で問題無い。サンダル等の脱げやすい物はやめたほうが良い。 駐車スペースあり。つりがね洞の看板前にも1台停めれるが、整備された駐車場からの方がイイ感じで見れます。看板前の道路はトンネルで見通しが悪いため駐車はオススメできません。

久慈から宮古に向けて車で海岸沿いを走りながら立ち寄りました。天候にも恵まれ、リフレッシュする事が出来ました。 車は数台停車出来ます。 道中で対向車とスレ違う事がありますが、焦らずゆずりあいの精神で楽しくドライブしてみてください。

久慈市街から車で10分くらいと近くて良い見所です。行くまでの道の景色も楽しめますが、道が狭くなるので対向車には注意が必要です。 すぐ近くに駐車場もあり車を停めて近くまで歩いていけます。 カメラスポットは駐車場からが一番でした。
