Access by Car About 1 Hour from Morioka IC!
To access Lake Iwadono from Morioka City in Iwate Prefecture, if using public transportation, first access JR Morioka Station. From there, you can take a taxi or rent a car, and it takes about 1 hour. Another option is to use a car. From the Morioka IC on the Tohoku Expressway, take National Route 46 and 455 to Lake Iwadono, which is about 45 km away and takes about 1 hour. Regardless of the method chosen, access to Lake Iwadono is relatively smooth.
