The main attractions are the Sankeiden, a national important cultural property, and the beautiful garden. The doors of the Sankeiden's cupboard are decorated with playing card motifs such as Western roses, daffodils, diamonds, and hearts. The dry landscape garden features flowers that bloom in all four seasons, and is illuminated during the autumn leaves season. In addition, making prayer beads in the main hall is also recommended.

In particular, the Sankeiden, also known as the Otamaya, is said to be the oldest building in Miyagi Prefecture, yet it still maintains its beauty today. At Entsuin Temple, you can receive a special stamp called "Goshuin" which is popular among tourists due to its unique design. It is also featured on the "Hotokami" map, which allows you to search for Goshuin stamps in Matsushima, Shiogama, and Minamisanriku, making it a great destination for stamp rally enthusiasts. However, it may take some time to receive the Goshuin as it is handwritten. We recommend stopping by the office before visiting the temple's attractions.
