Arazaki

Arasaki Park is a seaside park located in Yokosuka City and is famous as a scenic spot for beautiful sunsets. The park has a grassy hill with a lawn square, perfect for picnics. There is also an observation deck for viewing the sunset, where you can overlook Sagami Bay. On clear days, you can also see Mt. Fuji. Many tourists visit in the evening, so it's recommended to visit early.

Arasaki Park has rugged rocky terrain that stretches along the seaside, allowing visitors to enjoy playing in the tide pools and fishing. While there are restrooms available in the park, there are no showers or changing rooms, so please be aware of this. Additionally, there may be cases where permission from the fishing rights holder is required. After enjoying playing in the tide pools and fishing, you can also savor local seafood dishes at nearby restaurants.

There is a campsite near Arasaki Park where you can enjoy nature while camping. There are also trekking courses in the surrounding area, allowing you to enjoy a leisurely stroll. Barbecuing is also possible at the campsite. However, note that camping and barbecuing are prohibited within the park.

There are many eateries around Arasaki Park where you can enjoy local seafood and sake. Sakata City, in particular, is famous for its sake production. There are also cafes and restaurants in the area. As there are no eateries within Arasaki Park, it is recommended to use the nearby shops.

Access to Arasaki Park is convenient by car. There is a free parking lot in the park, but it may become full during peak times, so it's recommended to visit early. If you're using public transportation, you can take a bus or taxi. There are also historical tourist spots and hot spring towns in the surrounding area, so why not visit them together?
