(2024/10/14) 今や全国区となった紅葉の名所香嵐渓のすぐそばにある山城です。他の方の投稿にもあるようにきちんとした考証に基づいた建物の復元がなされており戦国時代の土のお城を学ぶことが出来る素晴らしい施設です。また樹木を必要以上に残しがちな復元山城が多いなか、こちらは曲輪などでは樹木をきちんと除去して往時を思わせるようになっていてそこも見どころの1つかと思います。規模はさほど大きくないお城ですが忠実に復元しているため本丸に至る道は平坦ではないので歩きやすい靴や服装がお勧めです。 他の地域の山城もこういう方向性で復元されて欲しいと思わせるような見事なものでした。

まともな時代考証の上で復元された建築物が見応え有ります。また、無意味な公園化をせずに縄張りが破壊されていない事も素晴らしいと思います。日本中の城趾が、この様になって欲しいものです。

とても整備されていて見学しやすくなってます。しかし、高櫓が戦国時代の望楼型の櫓でなく層塔型の櫓なのが疑問?茨城県の逆井城にある望楼型の櫓が考証的に正しいのでは?と思ってしまい、星満点にはなりませんでした。
