豊橋駅から東海道線で二川駅まで7分、次の駅で降ります。駅から歩いて、20分くらいで豊橋総合動植物園「のんほいパーク」に到着。途中に道路をまたぐ必要があり、橋の高さまで上がるためにエレベーターを2回、乗って降ります。その先にのんほいパークがあり、入場料券を購入して園内を歩くと、自然史博物館に着きます。 園内は実に広大です。ここ自然史博物館に入る前に、その周りに実物大の恐竜模型がいろいろ置いてあって、ちょっと、わくわくさせてくれます。 自然史博物館に入ると、古生代、中生代、新生代などいろんな展示室があって、ジオラマやレプリカなどで、丁寧に解説されているので、子供から大人まで非常にわかりやすいです。 ただ、そうした展示物については、パンフに「90%が実物からなる」と書かれていましたが、それはそれで、感じ方は人それぞれだと思います。了解です。 小生は、この恐竜が、いつの時代かとか、それは本物なのかとか、その恐竜の名前とかは、あまり興味はなく、その骨格と大きさ見たさに、行くことが多いです。「この巨大な生き物たちが実際にいたんだー!」という事実とその情景を想像する楽しみがあるからです。 (というか、あの恐竜の時代や長い恐竜の名前は、中々覚えられないからかも😀・・・)

自然史博物館としては、いい感じで、お客さんもいっぱいです。見応えのある展示物もイロイロあり見応えは十分です。 残念なのは、マケイン関係が一切なかったことです。ブームはもう、去ったのですね。
