何気なく道を走っていて「世界の」と名のついた看板に惹かれ車道を入ると、トイレやテニスコートを過ぎてすぐに廃墟らしきかつてはユースホステルだった建物が。そこに車を置いて山道を少し歩くと、また廃墟を通り過ぎ、5月上旬で花は咲いていなかったものの何百種類の名札がついた椿の木々がある山の中へ。お昼ご飯を食べて満腹のなかハイキング感覚で階段を昇り降りし、脇目も振らず歩けば30分くらいで一周できる規模で、とても良い運動になりました。深い山で癒され、色んな名前の椿にビックリしたり、時々見える尾鷲湾の綺麗な景色に感動したりと小一時間楽しめました。これからお昼(ランチバイキング)を食べた夢古道の湯に戻って入浴し、日帰りで自宅に帰ります。女性はヒールだと厳しいですが、パンプスくらいなら階段が整備されているので気軽に歩けます。

世界の椿園がある。 平地ではなく山の斜面に植えているので山道を歩くような靴を履いて行った方が良い。
