Hagi, Nagato

The popular tourist spot in Nagato City, "Motonosumi Inari Shrine," is a stunning shrine with a view of the cliffs along the Sea of Japan, with a torii gate approach that extends over 100 meters. At the exit of the back approach stands a 5-meter torii gate, and amazingly, a donation box is attached to its upper part. Therefore, it is quite difficult to throw coins upwards into the donation box. If you manage to put your offering in successfully, it is said that your wish will come true. The blue of the beautiful sea, the red of the torii gate, and the green of the flowers are all photogenic, and the unusual way of offering coins is exciting.
