Hachinohe

Hachinohe, which is part of the Sanriku Coast, has many natural tourist spots facing the Pacific Ocean. It is also known for having many excavated ruins and open-air baths surrounded by untouched nature. The "Kabushima Shrine," located on an island, is designated as a natural monument of Japan as a breeding ground for black-tailed gulls. Every year from around March to August, tens of thousands of black-tailed gulls come to the island to raise their chicks, covering the island. It is also known as a power spot where you can pray for your stock prices to rise or for good luck, as it is said that "luck will come" if you get bird droppings on you.
